Restored 1965 Western Flyer Brand Cosmic Flyer
Restored 1965 Cosmic Flyer 26 inch bicycle made by Western Flyer.  Was featured on the cover of Western Auto's 1964 Xmas catalog.  Original parts from 3 bikes were sourced for the restoration of this bike.  Extremely rare parts are the front of the tank and the control panel on top of the tank because they are made of plastic.  Although the tank headlights do not work, all the wiring is in the tank but disconnected from the control panel.
 
The frame and tank were painted and reproduced graphics were added.  The chrome on the fenders, handlebars and chainguard is in excellent shape.  Included is the Western Flyer logo speedo head (produced by Stewart Warner) but there is no cable attachment.  The speedo was added for display and there is no guarantee that it will work if a cable is added.  Also included is the matching bike lock and cable.
 
Pictures of the original seat have just been added.  I replaced it with the aftermarket seat because I rode the bike for 2 years.  The original seat, especially in this condition, is extremely rare, but because it is starting to get brittle with age, I would recommend only putting it on the bike for display purposes.
